Silver not only looks beautiful on the wearer but it is a great investment. As of today, the price of silver has increase 62% from just a few months ago when it was at $17 an ounce. Today it is $27 an ounce. This is why I make Sterling and fine jewelry - it will keep its metal value over time. I know that if ever someone who has silver is ever in a bind, silver can be readily converted to cash. In 2011 it went up to $35 an ounce from $14 in 2008. It is a great value when purchasing for oneself , a friend or a loved one. And what’s even better, I have not changed my pricing. Only new items will reflect increased costs as I bear them myself. So enjoy your purchases and the value!!
![]() We are definitely living through an unprecedented experience for our lifetime with the Covid-19 pandemic. I certainly wish my grandmother had left a journal of her experience for me and my children to learn from today. It would be so interesting to learn what life was like then from a relative rather than just reading about it from historical documents. I often wonder what decisions my grandparents made to stay safe as none of my relatives suffered death at the hands of the Spanish Flu. But then again, they were in their 30s and if they were anything like 30 year olds today, I doubt they were too concerned although my grandmother was pregnant at the time so that was probably worrisome. I wonder also if any got sick. I also wonder if my grandfather wonder if my grandfather planted the huge garden that encircled the entire house. It reminded me of a small forest because it was chock full of fruits and vegetables and he was very proud of his beautiful and yummy garden. For those of us living through this one, we have the perfect opportunity to document our experiences for our grandchildren. We certainly have had a lot happen in already just a few months which would be of great interest to almost anyone. What have you been doing during this time? What has been your experience and what are your observations? I invite you to record your thoughts and feelings and to do so let me propose a beautiful journal cover for your journal writing. Each journal is made from genuine quality cow's leather with a pigskin leather lining. The leather has a semi-glossy finish with a pattern etched into the leather. Because they are 100% genuine leather, the leather color and appearance may vary slightly depending on how the leather accepted the dye. The attached elastic band allows one to add and remove paper journals and each journal cover comes with a paper journal. See the description for each journal under Leather Goods. Replacement journals can be found on Amazon and on Etsy. The size you need is identified in the description of the particular journal. Each journal has a leather cord decorated with beads tied around a button/concho and is wrapped around said button or concho to secure it. Should you desire a custom made design, please contact me to discuss your desires. Custom designs will start at $77 for the 3x5 and $85 for the 4x6 with silvertone concho. Bronze buttons are more. Previous custom designs have included etched pictures of family, dogs, fingerprints, fish, etc... Here's to enjoying the journaling experience!! |
